Residents can soon hop on the seasonal bus route

With warmer weather expected soon, Chatham-Kent's seasonal bus route is getting ready to shift into gear.

The Seasonal Interurban Transit Route (S1) will serve the Chatham, Erieau, and Mitchell’s Bay areas, with stops in Grande Point, Pain Court, Charing Cross, and Blenheim.

People can start taking the S1 on May 17. The transit service will be operational every Friday - Monday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m., until Labour Day.

Officials with the Municipality of Chatham-Kent said fares will cost $5 for adults (one way) and $4.50 for students or seniors.

Maps for the route can be found at municipal service centres. Further details can also be found online or by calling (519) 436-3233.
