Spilled milk, ice cream in Dawn-Euphemia transport crash

On Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Lambton OPP were dispatched to Oil Heritage Road between Edy's Mills and North Dawn Road in Dawn-Euphemia Township to investigate a single motor vehicle collision.

Upon arrival police found a Peterbilt transport on its side with milk crates and boxes of ice cream spilling from the truck's roof.

It appeared the vehicle had entered the ditch, struck a culvert and rolled multiple times.

The driver and passenger were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The driver, a 60-year-old man from London, was charged with careless driving.

The southbound lane of Oil Heritage Road was briefly shut down to allow for the vehicle to be removed.
