Heavy flames extinguished at a house in Tilbury

No injuries have been reported after a fire sparked at a house in Tilbury.

Four fire stations were called to a house on Middle Line, near Davidson Road around 9:43 p.m. Tuesday night. A total of 40 fire responded to the scene.

Whitney Burk, the public educator for Chatham-Kent Fire and Emergency Services, said crews arrived at the house and found "a well-involved house fire with heavy flames".  The house is believed to be a total loss due to significant damage.

A section of Middle Line was closed Tuesday night so that crews could put out the blaze.

There's no word on a cause or damage estimate yet.

A further update is expected on Thursday.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
