Carleton waived by WNBA team

Chatham's Bridget Carleton has been let go by the Connecticut Sun.

The WNBA team claimed Natisha Hiedeman off of waivers on Wednesday, and let Carleton go to make room on the roster.

Carleton was selected by the Sun with the 21st pick in the WNBA draft earlier this year. She played in four of the team's 13 games this season, grabbing three rebounds and adding an assist. The Sun are 9-4 on the season so far.

The 22-year-old guard/forward was the Big 12 Player of the Year in her senior season at Iowa State.
