Cocaine, LSD found during drug bust in Chatham

Chatham-Kent police temporarily pulled a pair of alleged drug dealers off of the street this week.

A 37-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman were arrested Wednesday night after police executed search warrant on Campbell Street and allegedly found some cocaine, some cannabis resin, and some LSD.

Police said in addition to the drugs, they also seized a quantity of Canadian currency, some electronic digital scales, and some cell phones.

The total value of the bust is estimated at $30,150.

The accused were both charged with multiple counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and later released from custody with conditions and a future court date.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
