UPDATE: Severe thunderstorms threaten region

Environment Canada has issued another severe thunderstorm warning for London-Middlesex.  A warning was issued Saturday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. and was ended around 5:30 p.m. before being issued once again around 6:00 p.m. The second warning was ended around 8:30 p.m.

A severe thunderstorm watch was issued for Sarnia-Lambton and Chatham-Kent around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and was ended around 9:30 p.m.

Residents are warned to take cover if the weather worsens.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
