Suspect on the loose after knifepoint robbery in Chatham

Chatham-Kent police are looking for leads -- and a suspect -- after someone robbed a Chatham convenience store at knifepoint early Monday morning.

Police said the suspect, described as a man in his late 30s or early 40s, entered the Circle K store on McNaughton Avenue West at around 5 a.m. and demanded money before taking off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Investigators said the suspect is approximately six feet tall and was last seen wearing a white jacket and blue pants.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
