Roses blossom into $10K donation for Oncology Program

A Rotary-based program that brightens people's day with roses is also helping the hospital in Chatham better accommodate cancer patients.

The Rotary Club of Chatham Sunrise recently donated $10,000 to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation (CKHAF). Funds for the donation stem from the Roses for Rotary program, an annual campaign that sells roses and donates the money to different local organizations.

“We are so appreciative of the partnership with Rotary Club of Chatham Sunrise and are sincerely grateful they chose our foundation to be the beneficiary of their annual Roses for Rotary Campaign,” said Mary Lou Crowley, president and CEO of the CKHAF.

The donation will be used towards the Oncology Program at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.

The cheque was officially presented to officials with the CKHAF on Tuesday.
