Emergency crews respond to Chatham crash

A two-car collision in Chatham-Kent has resulted in at least one person being taken to hospital.

Emergency crews were called to assist in a crash which took place at the intersection of Jacob Road and Grande River Line early Thursday afternoon.

There are no life-threatening injuries.

Officers at the scene did not disclose what could have caused the incident.

The collision is currently under investigation.

Residents have told Blackburn News that police have blocked access to all traffic that is coming over the bridge and moving south down Jacob Road. Traffic is being directed onto Grand River Line toward St. Clair College's Chatham Campus.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
