Hair salon robbery suspect found dead

The suspect who was wanted in connection with a robbery at a hair salon in Chatham earlier this week is now the subject of a sudden death investigation.

Chatham-Kent police said a 45-year-old Chatham man who was found dead at a residence in Chatham Thursday was also identified as the man responsible for robbing BoRics Hair Salon on Grand Avenue Wednesday evening.

Police found the man's body while they were responding to a report of a man with who had no vital signs.

Officers are now working with the Coroner's office on the case.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
