Police find purple Fentanyl in a backpack
A 33-year-old Chatham man is charged with two drug trafficking-related charges after police allegedly found some purple fentanyl and cocaine in a backpack that he was carrying.
Police said the man took off running after officers spotted him while they were responding to a disturbance call in a parking lot in Chatham Sunday night.
The accused was arrested after a short foot chase and while police were searching him, they allegedly found numerous items inside and released him from custody pending further investigation.
Officers later determined that some of the items in the man's possession were illegal drugs, so they arrested him again Monday night.
He was charged and then released again with conditions and a future court date.

Arrests on outstanding warrants
Chatham-Kent police arrested four people on Monday who were all on the local wanted list.
A 30-year-old Chatham man who wanted for assault, a 34-year-old Ridgetown man wanted for allegedly breaching his probation, and a 46-year-old Howard Township man wanted for allegedly failing to comply with his probation and uttering threats were all arrested, charged, and released with future court dates.
A 31-year-old man of no fixed address who was wanted in connection with a pair of lottery ticket thefts from a local gas station earlier this month was also arrested.
He was charged with two counts of theft and one count of possession of stolen property and taken into custody pending a bail hearing.

ATV theft in CK
Police are working to track down a red 2016 Yamaha ATV that was reported stolen from a storage container on Coatsworth Road.
Investigators said it was taken sometime between 12 p.m. on Saturday and 6:30 a.m. Monday.
Four black Stanley rolling toolboxes full of various tools were also stolen.
