Two stolen tractors recovered by West Grey police

A man from Glenelg is facing theft charges after police recovered two stolen tractors on the same day.

Monday morning, West Grey Police Service received report that a tractor that had been stolen from a property on Concession 2 at Grey Road 25. That afternoon, the same man called police to report that a second tractor had been stolen from his property within the past 15 minutes.

Shortly after receiving the call, police located the stolen tractor and arrested one man.  The accused confessed to police that he was the one who had stolen the first tractor.

A 38-year-old Glenelg man has been charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 and one count of being in possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
