UPDATE: Severe thunderstorms possible Tuesday

Environment Canada has ended a severe thunderstorm watch for much of Southwestern Ontario.

The weather agency issued the watch Tuesday morning for London and Middlesex County, Elgin County, Oxford County, Chatham-Kent, Sarnia-Lambton, and Windsor and Essex County.

"Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms this afternoon," the weather agency said. "The main threats are heavy rain and strong wind gusts."

The severe thunderstorm watch was ended for all areas except Oxford County at around 7 p.m,.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
