Windsor teen charged in Wallaceburg robbery

A 17-year-old from Windsor is facing charges after allegedly robbing a teen in Wallaceburg.

Chatham-Kent police said a Windsor teen went to a residence in Wallaceburg on Tuesday night around 8:30 p.m. It's alleged that the 17-year-old "used intimidation" to get in and carried a knife to demand that an Xbox be handed over.

The Wallaceburg teen refused to give up the video game console, which is when the Windsor teen allegedly stole a vape pen instead and drove away.

Officers were able to identify the 17-year-old and make an arrest. The youth member has been charged with break and enter and robbery. Police said he since been released from custody to a family member and has a future court date set for September 9.
