ServiceOntario office closing in Chatham at the end of the month

Chatham residents looking to renew their health cards and driver's licenses will have to head out of town to do so in person as of next week.

A release from the province's Government and Consumer Services department announced on Thursday that the Service Ontario location on Grand Avenue East will be closing its doors for good as of August 26, 2019.

After that date, it's recommended that Chatham residents can visit the following three ServiceOntario centres also in the municipality:

  • Blenheim – 45 James St., Unit #5
  • Dresden – 485 St. George St. S
  • Tilbury – 52 Queen St. N
A spokesperson from the government's communication branch was not immediately available for comment.

Local residents can also update and change personal information for over 40 services online at ServiceOntario.ca.
