According to the weather agency, the statement called for scattered thunderstorms over Lower Michigan that will track Southward across portions of Essex and Kent counties.
The statement was issued around 5:30 p.m. and ended by 8:00 p.m.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
