Rocker Eddie Money has passed away at the age of 70 according to TMZ.
Money's family announced this past July he was postponing his tour dates and the release of a new album after he underwent heart surgery in May. Later in the summer, he revealed he had been diagnosed with stage four esophageal cancer.

Money was known for hits like "Take Me Home Tonight," "Two Tickets to Paradise," and "Baby Hold On."
Money was a police officer in New York City before focusing on music in 1968. In 1976 he was signed to Columbia Records.
According to his official website, he also had several TV and film credits to his name including appearances on "The King of Queens," and "The Drew Carey Show." He also had his own reality TV show, "Real Money."
Over four decades, Money sold more than 28 million records.
