Maroons fall to Vipers 4-1

The Lasalle Vipers defeated the Chatham Maroons 4-1 in GOJHL action on Saturday.

LaSalle kicked off the game with the only goal of the first period shot by Ethan Hamelin at 6:06.

Chatham answered back with a power-play goal shot by Brett Fisher 19:24 into the second period, tying up the game.

LaSalle's Nic Pavia broke the tie scoring 3:05 into the third period followed by a goal from Bradley Vincent at 8:05. Stephane Crevier scored on an empty net at 18:47 pushing LaSalle into the lead by three and winning them the game.

Maroon goaltender Noah Zeppa made 28 saves out of 31 shots on net.

The Maroons are back in Chatham on Sunday to face the Strathroy Rockets at the Chatham Memorial Arena at 7 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
