Man charged with theft       

A 22-year-old Chatham man has been charged with theft and possession of property.

Around 5 p.m. Friday, police responded to a shoplifting complaint at Walmart in Chatham.

The man allegedly took video games and left the store without paying.

Police were given a description of a male suspect.  The suspect was found was arrested.

The man was charged with theft under $5000 and being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000.

The property was recovered and returned to Walmart.

Traffic enforcement                 

A 22-year-old St. Thomas man was arrested after a traffic stop.

At around 3 a.m Sunday, a general patrol officer initiated a traffic stop for a vehicle on Snow Avenue in Blenheim.

After an investigation, the man was issued a 3-day license suspension and a Provincial Offence Notice for Novice Driver Blood Alcohol Concentration above zero.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
