Teen charged after family dispute
A 15-year-old Chatham boy is finding himself on the wrong side of the law after an argument with his father took a nasty turn.
Chatham-Kent police said they were called in Sunday morning after the teen allegedly threatened his dad.
Police said the teen was arrested, charged, and released to a family member pending a future court date.

Police find drugs after arresting wanted man
A 24-year-old Chatham man who was already wanted for domestic-related assault and mischief charges is in even more trouble after police allegedly found him carrying around some crystal methamphetamine.
Officers said they found the man in the area of Queen Street and Harvey Street in Chatham at around 1:30 a.m. Monday, adding that they found the drugs while they were searching him.
The accused was taken into custody and was being held pending a bail hearing.

Wallaceburg man charged with assault
Chatham-Kent police have arrested a 19-year-old Wallaceburg man in connection with a recent domestic disturbance call.
Police said the incident was called in sometime last week adding that officers caught up with the accused Sunday afternoon and arrested him. He was charged with assault and released with a future court date.

CK police pull over drivers in Wheatley
Chatham-Kent police handed out a handful of tickets to drivers during a Sunday afternoon speed enforcement campaign on Talbot Trail in Wheatley.
Police said they issued six tickets to drivers for speeding and other Highway Traffic Act offences.
Officers said they also stopped a vehicle that didn't have the proper licence plates. In that case, the plates were seized, the driver was charged, and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

Crime Prevention Week
Chatham-Kent police Chief Gary Conn has issued a special statement regarding Crime Prevention Week, which is currently underway.
"When police work with their communities to stop crime in its tracks, we all win," says Chief Gary Conn. "We are proud that Ontario communities are among the safest in the world. But community safety and well-being takes hard work and collaboration. That’s why our Police Service is proud to partner with community groups, young people and businesses to prevent crime throughout our community."
Police said members of the traffic unit will be working with RU Safe CK on Monday to promote road safety during educational traffic stops.
