Another pedestrian struck in Chatham

For the second time in two days, a pedestrian has been hit by a vehicle in Chatham.

An elderly woman was struck on Keil Drive North near Baldoon Road on Wednesday around 5 p.m. and was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

On Tuesday morning, a 59-year-old man was killed when he was struck by a vehicle on Grand Avenue West between Campus Parkway and Fergie Jenkins Parkway. The victim was taken to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance where he was pronounced dead.

Neither victim’s name has been released by police.

Both collisions remain under investigation.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
