At the peak of the outage, more than 700 customers were in the dark earlier Wednesday morning.
Entegrus said on Twitter shortly after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday that crews were able to locate and repair two blown lighting arresters.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
