Weapons, stolen property seized from vehicle

A tip about a suspicious vehicle in Dawn-Euphemia has resulted in numerous charges against two people.

Lambton OPP were called to a parking lot on Dawn Valley Road at around 1:15 a.m. on November 16. Two people were sleeping inside of the vehicle, and one was wanted on a warrant from another county.

Officers allegedly found a rifle and an airsoft pistol, and seized stolen property and break and enter tools.

A 36-year-old Chatham man and 28-year-old St. Clair Township woman are facing prohibited weapons charges, along with possession of break-in instruments, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Both suspects recently appeared for a bail hearing in Sarnia.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
