Three charged following gas theft in Brigden

Lambton OPP have arrested three Chatham-Kent area men after responding to a report of stolen fuel from a gas station in Brigden Tuesday.

Police located the suspect vehicle a short distance away from the fuel pumps on Courtright Line in St. Clair Township and were told that three people had fled and ran into a field.

The West Region Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team located three individuals in the field and arrested them.

Police said their investigation revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen and was involved in other incidents earlier that morning.

Break and enter tools, stolen property and methamphetamine was seized during a search of the suspects and vehicle.

A 32-year-old man from Walpole Island First Nation, a 33-year-old man from Wallaceburg and a 40-year-old man from Moravian First Nation were charged.

The accused were held in custody and have made an appearance in Sarnia Court.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
