One person taken to hospital after house fire in Chatham

Chatham-Kent fire officials are investigating a blaze that broke out at a home on Prince Street South in Chatham.

Fire crews were called to the home at around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.

One person was treated by local paramedics and taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

There is no word yet on a cause or a damage estimate.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
