Tractor, manure tanks go off the road in West Perth

Police are trying to figure out what happened after a large farm tractor hauling liquid manure tanks went off the road and hit a tree in Perth County.

The crash happend around 6:30 p.m. Thursday on Perth Rd. 180, south of Line 19.

That's south of the hamlet of Cromarty in West Perth.

Police, fire, paramedics, Perth County Roads and officers with the Ministry of Environment were all called to the scene.

A section for Perth Rd. 180 in between Line 17 and Line 21 had to be closed for several hours for the clean up.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
