Residents asked to consider holiday health care options

Paramedics and medical personnel are ready for one of their busiest times of the year, however, residents with non-urgent matters are asked to reconsider a trip to the emergency room.

Chatham-Kent EMS and the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance have issued a reminder of alternative services offered throughout the community. This comes as health officials look to prevent large crowds from waiting at hospitals for non-urgent illnesses such as colds, ear infections, and sprained limbs.

Some options for non-emergencies include going to a walk-in clinic, a pharmacist, or calling Telehealth Ontario at 1-866-797-0000.

Below is a list of health care providers and the hours of operation during the holidays.
