UPDATE: Early morning blaze sparks in Charing Cross

Damage is estimated at $200,000 after a fire broke out at a house in Charing Cross, just two days before Christmas.

Fire officials said stations from Blenheim and Raleigh South were called to 21103 Charing Cross Rd. around 4:15 a.m. on Monday.

The home was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters first arrived at the scene. A cause is going down as undetermined.

No injuries have been reported.

A section of Charing Cross Road at James Street was closed for several hours as firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze.
