Holiday Jam to stock local food bank

Local musicians will team up this weekend to help bring in donations for Chatham-Kent Outreach for Hunger.

The 15th annual Holiday Jam for Hunger will take place at Sons of Kent in Chatham on Saturday, December 28. Music starts at 7:30 p.m. and admission is by donation.

"All of the musicians playing have strong connections to Chatham-Kent and want to support local organizations like Outreach for Hunger which is filling such an important need," said organizer Alysson Storey. "I'm happy to say the Holiday Jam annual events have raised close to $20,000 for local charities, which is a true testament to the community spirit here in CK."

Rob Mitchell, a singer-songwriter who was born and raised in Chatham but now lives in Guelph, will take the stage first. He will be followed by two local bands, the Dave Trinca Xperience, and Kings of the North.
