Home renos planned by couple after lotto win

A Chatham couple is over $72,000 richer after winning big playing Poker Lotto All In.

Johnathan Barylewicz, 42, and 37-year-old Maria Murray won the jackpot of $67,647.60 and the $5,000 instant prize on October 26, 2019.

"We don't usually play the lottery together but we were at the store and I asked Maria if she wanted to play a Poker Lotto ticket since the jackpot was high," said Barylewicz, a CNC operator.

"We were shocked when we hit the jackpot – the retailer gave us a high five," laughed Murray, a Human Resources employee.

The married couple plans to renovate their current home so that they can eventually upgrade to a larger house.

The winning ticket was purchased at Ken's Variety on Vanier Drive in Chatham.
