CKHA welcomes new physician

There is a new Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) specialist in Chatham-Kent.

The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) said Dr. Diana Khalil has joined the hospital's surgery department and she is currently accepting patient referrals.

CKHA Chief of Staff Dr. Pervez said the addition of Dr. Khalil should cut down the number of out-of-town trips people in the area need to make in order to get specialized care.

"Dr. Khalil is an excellent addition to CKHA and will assist us in meeting the needs of our patients and our community," said Dr. Faruqi in a media release. "Her training and skills are a great addition to our medical community."

Dr. Khalil received her Doctor of Medicine from the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine at McMaster University in Hamilton in 2011 and completed her residency training at the University of Manitoba in 2016. She went on to receive Fellowship training at the University of Ottawa and at Auckland City Hospital in New Zealand before most recently working at Southlake Regional Hospital in Newmarket.

"Practicing at CKHA seemed like a perfect fit for me with its professional staff and community atmosphere," said Dr. Khalil. "I'm looking forward to being part of the team here and joining the community of Chatham-Kent."

In addition to working at the CKHA, Dr. Khalil also has an office co-located with Dr. Nadine Yammine, Otolaryngology/Larngology at 336A King Street West in Chatham and can be reached at 519 397-1721.
