Boil water advisory issued for Tilbury

Tilbury residents are being told to boil all water until further notice.

A boil water advisory was issued Tuesday evening for the town of Tilbury and the surrounding areas of Coutts Line, Mint Line, Dashwheel Road, Baptiste Road, and Tecumseh Line, due to " abnormal water sampling results."

Those in the affected area should bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute prior to drinking it, or using it for infant formula/juice, brushing teeth, washing raw foods and making ice.

This advisory measure will remain in effect until the Chatham-Kent Public Health receives good results from two consecutive sets of samples that have been taken a minimum of 24 hours apart.
