Man arrested on warrant

Police were able to nab a 19-year-old who was wanted on a warrant for several charges, including one involving a firearm.

A 19-year-old is facing charges after police arrested him on a warrant for multiple charges, including one involving a firearm.

According to police, officers located the Chatham man on Thames Street Friday morning and determined that he was wanted on a warrant for charges of robbery using a firearm, assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, and forcible confinement.

He was arrested, taken into police custody and held for a bail hearing.

Two men arrested on warrants

Police were able to take two more men off of their wanted list on Friday.

Shortly after noon on Friday police nabbed a 42-year-old on Raleigh Street. He was wanted on a warrant for charges of administering a noxious substance.

He was arrested, taken to the police station and held in custody for a bail hearing.

Then, On Friday afternoon, a 34-year-old was located on Duke Street in Wallaceburg that was wanted on charges of theft, credit card fraud, fraud under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000.

He was arrested, transported to CKPS headquarters and released pending a future court date.

Domestic disturbance leads to charges

A Blenheim woman is in trouble with the law after an alleged assault.

According to police, they received a complaint about a domestic dispute in Blenheim around 11 p.m. Friday night.

Cops investigated and learned that a woman had allegedly assaulted and choked her common-law partner.

The 41-year-old was arrested for assault causing bodily harm. She was taken into police custody and held for a bail hearing

Liquor store theft results in arrest

On Friday evening officers responded to reports of someone allegedly shoplifting $150 worth of products at the LCBO in Wallaceburg.

The suspect was located and arrested for theft under $5,000.

He was released on scene and given a future court date.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
