Erie Shores Health Foundation marks 25 years

A foundation from one of Windsor-Essex's healthcare systems is celebrating a milestone.

The Erie Shores Health Foundation (ESHF) will mark its 25th anniversary with a gala Saturday night at the Roma Club in Leamington. The healthcare system is also celebrating its 70th anniversary this year.

The foundation raises money for programs at Erie Shores Healthcare and Erie Shores Hospice. Since it was founded in 1995, volunteer committees and sponsors have raised a total of $1.8 million through the annual gala.

Every year, the foundation provides $1 million to purchase equipment for the healthcare system, plus $700,000 to Erie Shores Hospice to support its programs and services.

The gala is sold out. If you are interested in learning more about the ESHF, visit its official website.
