Maroons outplay Rockets 6-2

The Chatham Maroons defeated the Strathroy Rockets 6-2 on Sunday.

Cam Symons was the first to score for the Maroons 9:09 into the first period. Evan Wells and Kylie Fisher scored to put the Maroons in the lead.

Toby Rizzo scored the first goal for the Rockets 7:02 into the second period.

Fisher scored his second goal 1:12 into the third period. Daniel Aspro answered with a goal for the Rangers. Symons and Fisher added two more points for Chatham.

Maroons goalie Bryce Walcarius saved 34 out of 36 shots on net.

The Maroons will face-off against the London Nationals on Sunday. Puck drops at 7 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
