ATV rider accused of impaired driving

A 37-year-old Comber man is charged with impaired driving after police pulled over an ATV just west of Chatham Sunday night.

Police said they stopped the vehicle after getting a traffic complaint about an ATV on Riverview Line between Drake Road and Dillon Road.

The officer who stopped the man believed he was driving under the influence of alcohol, so he was taken back to police headquarters for breath tests and then charged with having a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit.

He was later released pending a future court date.
