Maroons fall 6-1 to Nationals

The Chatham Maroons suffered a 6-1 defeat at the hands of the London Nationals on Wednesday.

The Nationals scored twice in the first period but Cameron Armstrong put Chatham on the board with a goal 6:04 into the second to cut London's lead in half. The Nationals responded by scoring another two goals before the end of the frame to take a 4-1 lead heading into the third. London scored two more unanswered goals in the third to cap off the win against Chatham.

Maroons goalie Kevin Linker made 32 saves out of 38 shots on net.

The Maroons head to St. Thomas on Friday to battle the Stars at 7:30 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
