Pair of stops in Wallaceburg lead to arrests

Chatham-Kent police caught up with a 37-year-old man in Wallaceburg late Thursday night who was wanted on some outstanding warrants.

Police said when they arrested him, officers also allegedly found a small amount of meth and a flick knife on him.

He was later charged with drug possession and possession of a banned weapon. The accused was later released with conditions and a future court date.

About an hour and a half after that, police picked up a 31-year-old man who was wanted on four outstanding warrants. He was taken to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

Man wanted in London turns up in Chatham

A 40-year-old man who was wanted by London police was arrested in Chatham over the noon-hour on Thursday.

Police said after arresting the man, they turned him over to London police for court purposes.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
