Nationals edge Maroons 3-2 in OT

The Chatham Maroons were defeated by the London Nationals 3-2 in overtime on Saturday.

Chatham started off strong with the first goal of the game shot by Dallas Maurovic 6:52 into the first period. Heading into second, Brett Fisher scored the Maroons another goal giving them a 2-0 lead on the Nationals. London managed to tie things up by the end of the second frame. Both teams failed to score throughout the final period causing the game to go into overtime.

The Nationals scored a goal early in OT to cap off their win against the Maroons.

Maroons goalie Kevin Linker made 41 saves out of 44 shots on net.

The Maroons will be back home on Sunday to battle the St. Marys Lincolns at 7 p.m.
