Lincolns down Maroons 6-2 during regular season finale

The Chatham Maroons suffered a harsh 6-2 loss against the St Marys Lincolns on Sunday.

St Marys was up by two goals by the end of the first period and the Lincolns scored another goal early into the second, taking a 3-0 advantage on the Maroons. Adrian Stubberfield cut the lead to two, scoring Chatham's first goal while Lucas Fancy added another for the Maroons to make it 3-2 by the end of the frame.

The Lincolns secured the win by scoring three more unanswered goals during the third period.

Chatham goaltender Kevin Linker made 29 saves in the loss.

The Maroons will face the LaSalle Vipers in the first round of the playoffs, but the schedule has yet to be released.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
