UPDATE: Crash claims life of Chatham man

A 22-year-old from Chatham has died after a serious collision in Ridgetown.

Emergency crews responded to a multi-vehicle crash around 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Victoria Road and Gosnell Line.

According to police, the 22-year-old was travelling westbound on Gosnell Line when his vehicle collided with a vehicle travelling southbound on Victoria Road and another vehicle stopped at the intersection.

The four occupants in the other two vehicles were all transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Police closed Victoria Road from O’Neil Line to Moore Line and Gosnell Line from Colby Road to Kenesserie Road for several hours.
