Lambton College classes cancelled one week for 'retooling'

Sarnia's Lambton College is the latest post-secondary institution to cancel classes due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The college announced in a media release Friday afternoon that classes will be suspended from March 16-20 to retool programs, but that the school will remain open.

Beginning on March 23, learning will resume in alternate formats with the intent to have students finish the winter term on schedule.

The college has also cancelled all of its events through the end of March because of COVID-19.

That includes the academic awards on March 24 and 25 and the college's open house on March 28.

The college says this is a precautionary measure to protect the health and safety of students, staff, and donors.

Students will still receive scholarships and awards but there will be no formal presentation.
