OMHA suspends hockey activities

The Ontario Minor Hockey Association has suspended all hockey activities.

In a post on the OMHA website, officials stated that the foremost priority is the health and safety of participants, volunteers and hockey families.

The decision was made while proactively working alongside Health Canada, Hockey Canada and local public health officials in regards to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Officials added the organization will be proactive in updating information on all upcoming protocols and required actions as they become available.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
