DriveTest centres close amid COVID-19 concerns

The province has announced that Drive Test centres and Travel Point locations will close to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The Ministry of Transportation along with the Ministry of Health made the announcement on Sunday.

The closures will take effect on Monday until further notice. The decision to close was the result of a mutual agreement between the Ontario government and service providers.

Those with expiring driver's licenses will not lose their current license, and applicants will not lose test fees paid as a result of the closures. The current "Fail to Keep Appointment" penalty fee has also been waived.
