Crash results in arrests for other crime

Two people have been turned over to police in Chatham-Kent following a single-vehicle crash in St. Clair Township Wednesday morning.

The OPP in Lambton County said both people in the vehicle ran away after the collision on Bentpath Line.

The West Region's Canine Unit, Emergency Response Team, Tactical Response Unit, and the OPP Aviation Services attended the scene to help find the pair. The police dog found the first suspect a few hours after the crash while the second suspect was taken into custody right away.

Investigators said the pair was wanted in connection to an offence that had occurred in Chatham-Kent. Both are now in the custody of the Chatham-Kent Police Service.
