Popular local barn dance and campout cancelled due to COVID-19

A popular annual event in Blyth has been cancelled due to COVID-19.

The Barn Dance Historical Society announced in a release on April 8 that the 23rd annual Jamboree/Campout in Blyth is regrettably cancelled this year.

In the release, Barn Dance Historical Society President Ruth Baxter stated the health and safety of the community and their participants are the most important thing, and with that in mind, they, unfortunately, won't be able to host the event this year.

With regards to the future of the event, Baxter notes the committee is planning to host the Jamboree/Campout next spring from May 27-30.
