Three new COVID-19 related deaths in Windsor-Essex

For the second day in a row, three new deaths related to COVID-19 are being reported in the Windsor-area.

A female in her nineties, a male in his nineties and a female in her sixties have passed away from complications of the virus. All individuals had tested positive for COVID-19 and were residents in long-term care or retirement homes. Currently, 20 of the 27 deaths reported for Windsor-Essex are associated with long-term care and retirement homes and represent five facilities.

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit also reported 10 new cases of the virus on Sunday, bringing the total up to 462.

The number of resolved cases did not change from Saturday to Sunday, still sitting at 58.

A total of 3,771 tests have been completed in Windsor-Essex with 676 results pending.
