Four new COVID-19 cases in London-area, no new deaths

The Middlesex-London Health Unit is reporting four new cases of the novel coronavirus on Saturday afternoon.

The total case count in the London-area is now at 413.

No new deaths related to the virus were reported on Saturday, with the total still sitting at 38. Five of the deaths were in retirement homes while 15 were in long-term care facilities.

There was however a spike in the number of people in the region that have recovered from the virus, going from 225 on Friday to 236 on Saturday.

As of Saturday morning, the total number of cases in Ontario is at 17,119.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
