UPDATE; More positive COVID-19 test results in Midwestern Ontario

More positive COVID-19 tests have been confirmed across midwestern Ontario.

Huron-Perth Public Health said a total of 49 lab-confirmed cases in the region and 5 deaths. 34 of the cases are among females, and 15 among men. No one is currently sick in the hospital with the virus.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health says 26 people have now died from the novel coronavirus, as the number of positive lab tests is now at 308. 119 have been resolved. Wellington County has had 51 positive novel coronavirus tests. One person is in hospital, and one patient in the ICU.

Three new cases of COVID 19 were reported in the past 24 hours in Grey Bruce for a total of 88 cases to date.  No one is hospitalized and 58 are recovered cases. There were 23 cases reported in Health Care Workers working in Grey Bruce and two 2 COVID-19 outbreaks reported in Long-Term Care and Retirement Homes.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
