COVID-19 cases hold steady in Midwestern Ontario

Cases of COVID-19 appear to be holding steady in Grey, Bruce, Perth and Huron, and Wellington counties.

Huron Perth Public Health officials said lab-confirmed cases remained at 49 again on Thursday.

As well, the Grey Bruce Public Health Unit also reported no new cases in the most recent update.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health also reported no new cases in Wellington County in the past 24 hours.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
